Instructions to apply the Upgrade Pack
- Shutdown the OpManager service.
- IMPORTANT: Take a copy of the entire <NetFlow> installation
directory or VM Snapshot as backup and save it somewhere before applying the upgrade pack. In
addition, if you are using MS SQL server as the backend database, take
backup of OpManager database (DB name 'netflow').
- Open Task Manager and kill any process like java.exe, postgres and OpManagerTrayIcon, NetFlowAnalyzerTrayIcon, NetworkConfigurationManagerTrayIcon, OpUtilsTrayIcon or FirewallAnalyzerTrayIcon if running and the proceed with the upgrade process.
- Rename the folder named logs as logs_old under NetFlow_Home directory.
- Open command prompt as Administrator (Right click on CMD -> Run As Administrator) and navigate to <
NetFlow_HOME>/troubleshooting and execute rawCleanup.bat and wait for it to complete.
- Navigate to <
NetFlow_HOME>/bin (in CMD as Administrator) directory and execute UpdateManager.bat or sh UpdateManager.sh (Linux).
- Click Browse and select the .ppm file that you have downloaded from the above link.
- Click Install to
install the upgrade pack. Wait until the upgrade pack is fully
installed. [Normally, it takes a few minutes for PPM installation].
- Click Close and then click Exit to exit the Update Manager tool.
Important (must follow)
- Once
done navigate to
NetFlow_Home\bin in CMD and execute run.bat
(Windows) or run.sh (linux), check if application starts properly. If
yes please hit CTRL+C and proceed with the next upgrade.
- Finally start the OpManager service.
